Where It All Began

The story of Bogobrush starts in the plains of North Dakota, where John and Heather were raised. As children of a dentist, John's path to design school and Heather's to study law originally seemed far from following the family footsteps.

After finishing school, they set out to use their talents to help the world be a better, more balanced place. Together, they collaborated with people from all walks of life, looking for ways to bring environmental and social awareness into people's daily routines. Through it all, they kept coming back to the idea of a toothbrush.

John McDougall, BFA

CHIEF CREATIVE OFFICER
John is an award-winning industrial designer who has done work for Fisker Automotive, Peugeot, General Motors, Dean Kamen, Coca-Cola, and others. Through intensive trend research, John designs for the eco-conscious and socially aware consumer.

Heather McDougall, JD

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Heather is an honors law school graduate turned social entrepreneur who has worked on lobbying and fundraising campaigns, and has done business plan analysis and investor research for a successful venture finance attorney and strategist.
